The drilling is 300m long and 17m deep, made with the Ditch Witch JT3020 drilling rig

300 m is the length of the most difficult borehole with a parabolic trajectory, which was made as part of the construction of the power network - the WN-110 kV cable line and the technologically related fiber-optic network, GPZ Gdańsk Śródmieście - GPZ Gdańsk Young City. The drilling depth reached 17 m.

Work related to the implementation of this drilling, for which the Ditch Witch JT3020 drilling rig was mobilized (189 l / min of mud pump capacity, 13 tons of tractive force), took five days. They started on February 27 and ended on the night of March 3-4. This is a great success for a machine with these parameters. The scrubber was prepared with the use of Hydraul Ez bentonite supplied by Dakor, a representative of Cetco.

Drilling works were carried out at a distance of 200 m from the Martwa Wisła in the shipyard areas, which hide many unchecked structures and utilities that affect the disruptions in the operation of location systems. The DigiTrak Falcon F2 navigation system was used to perform the drilling.

In total, along the entire construction route, the total length of 1743 m is to be drilled. The holes drilled in the HDD technology will be used for the installation of four pipes (three with a diameter of DN160 and one DN110). The total number of cables installed underground as part of drilling works will be approximately 7,000 m.
